What is the application fee?

The application fee is S$500 (before prevailing GST). This fee is strictly non-refundable and non-transferable. Applications are only processed once all required documents and the application fee have been submitted.

Do I need to take an English proficiency test?

Students may submit IELTS or TOEFL results, pass BCI's English Placement Test, or provide a letter from their latest school confirming that English was the medium of instruction. Our admissions team will advise based on your background.

How long does the admissions process take?

Accepted Answer

The typical admissions process takes 2–4 weeks from submission of complete documents to receiving an offer letter. Student Pass applications submitted to ICA may take an additional 4–8 weeks depending on ICA's processing time.

Can I apply if I am already in Singapore?

Yes, students currently in Singapore on a valid pass may apply. Please contact our admissions team to discuss your specific situation and the relevant requirements.

Question 5

What is the Student Contract and why is it required?

The Student Contract is a mandatory requirement by SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG). It outlines course duration, total fees payable, payment schedule, refund policy, Fee Protection Scheme (FPS) coverage, and BCI's academic and disciplinary policies. No course fee payments should be made until the Student Contract has been signed.

What is the Fee Protection Scheme (FPS)?

The Fee Protection Scheme (FPS) protects students' fees in the event that a Private Education Institution (PEI) is unable to continue operations or defaults on its obligations. BCI subscribes to an approved FPS as required by the Committee for Private Education (CPE).

What documents need to be notarised?

All non-English documents must be accompanied by official notarised English translations. Any photocopied documents must be certified true copies. This includes birth certificates, academic transcripts, certificates, and financial documents.

Can international students study at BCI in Singapore?

Yes, international students may apply to study at BCI, subject to meeting the admission requirements. A Student Pass issued by the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) is required for full-time study in Singapore.

Is a Student Pass required to study in Singapore?

Yes, international students are required to hold a valid Student Pass issued by ICA. The school will assist eligible students with the application process after admission is confirmed.

What programmes does BCI offer?

We offer preparatory and academic programmes including Cambridge Primary, AEIS Preparatory, IGCSE, GCE O-Level Preparatory, GCE A-Level Preparatory, the High School Diploma (Grade 11–12), and Certificate in General English.
