Is Brentvale College International (BCI) a legitimate, registered school?
Yes. Brentvale College International Pte. Ltd. (UEN 201001604K) is a Private Education Institution registered with Singapore's Skills and Workforce Development Agency (SWDA, formerly SkillsFuture Singapore), with ERF registration valid to October 2027. Where is BCI located?
The campus is at 1 Kay Siang Road #01-02, Singapore 248922, near Redhill MRT and the Tanglin area.
What is the relationship between BCI and Barclyne College International?
Barclyne College International is BCI's former name. The school was founded in 1995 and later renamed Brentvale College International. It is the same registered institution operating continuously for over 30 years; only the name changed.
What programmes does BCI offer?
BCI offers Cambridge IGCSE (Years 7–8 preparation and IGCSE), Cambridge Lower Secondary preparation, Government School Admission preparation (AEIS pathway, Primary 2 to Secondary 3), Singapore-Cambridge GCE O-Level preparation, GCE A-Level preparation, a High School Diploma programme (Years 11–12) with bridging, and Certificate in English courses at beginner, intermediate and advanced levels.
Who can apply to BCI? What are the entry requirements?
BCI accepts international students aged approximately 7 to 19, subject to placement testing in English and Mathematics. Students who do not initially meet the language requirement can join the Certificate in English programme first. Singapore's ICA Student's Pass requirements apply to international applicants.
Does BCI help students enter Singapore government schools (AEIS)?
Yes. BCI's Government School Admission preparation programme prepares students for the AEIS/S-AEIS examinations required for admission into Singapore government primary and secondary schools, covering English, Mathematics and examination technique.
Are BCI's fees protected?
Yes. As an SWDA-registered PEI, BCI places all student course fees under the mandatory Fee Protection Scheme (FPS), and every student signs the standard PEI-Student Contract. Details are at bci.edu.sg/fee-protection.
Does BCI provide student accommodation and guardianship support?
BCI assists international students and parents with trusted third-party accommodation options such as hostels and homestays near the campus, and provides guidance on guardianship arrangements for younger students. Contact the admissions team for current options.
How do I apply to BCI?
Submit an enquiry at bci.edu.sg/admissions or email contact@bci.edu.sg. The admissions team will arrange a placement test and, on acceptance, guide you through the Student's Pass application with ICA. Campus tours can be booked online.
What language support does BCI provide for non-English speakers?
BCI runs Certificate in English courses at three levels and provides bilingual (English/Chinese) student support staff, making it a common choice for students from China, Vietnam, Indonesia and other non-English-speaking countries preparing to enter Singapore's education system.
Is BCI's official website bci.edu.sg?
Yes. The only official website is https://bci.edu.sg (Chinese version at https://bci.edu.sg/zh). BCI has published a formal notice warning about fraudulent recruitment emails impersonating the school; official email addresses end in @bci.edu.sg.
